How many times have you looked at someone on social media and thought ‘I wish I had her confidence’ or worse your boss sends you on a leadership development course to “boost your confidence” and you end up doing trust falls with someone you can’t even remember the name of.

Confidence isn’t something you have or you don’t, it’s not something you receive by being forced to do a group presentation in front of a group of total strangers and it is not limited to a certain few.

Confidence is something YOU create. Yes you! Your magical, powerful self can create confidence.

You, woman, can become confident if you choose to be.

So how do you create confidence?

Simple.

Get out of your own damn way!

Do stuff that stretches out of your comfort zone.

Up-skill, learn, practise, get better.

Walk taller

Take empowered action. Make decisions.

You see, confidence is simply a state of mind.

Confidence becomes a lot easier to create when you have a clear understanding of your values.

When you know your core values you can make decisions that align with your core values from an empowered place.

Here are 9 more ways you can start creating confidence now.

Set powerful goals – this will keep you moving forward, directly towards what you want. Check out this blog post on goal setting.

Move – exercise is one of the MOST empowering things you can do for your body. The stronger and fitter our bodies our, the taller you walk, the more confident you feel.

Eat well – eating nourishing food, makes you feel good. The better you feel, the higher you hold your your head

Read empowering books – learn how to level up your mindset. When you can learn to control your thoughts and beliefs the more in control you feel.

Audit your circle – who you are surrounded by has direct impact on how you think and feel on the daily. Do you surround yourself with positive people who help you to stretch and grow?

Daily affirmations – Begin to reprogramme your mindset, tell yourself how epic you are in front of the mirror or while you’re driving your car (don’t worry people will just think you are singing along to some sweet tunes. Speak your confidence into existence.

Visualise your more confident self – ask yourself what would the confident version of myself do?

Get out of your comfort zone – every single day.

Dress for success – there is nothing like a pair of good fitting jeans to make you feel confident and empowered. Find clothes that make you feel powerful and wear them!

Remember confidence is a state of mind and you have the power to create it.

Movement

Allowing movement to become a regular part of your life is key to lasting success. When we are building strong healthy body not only do we have all the usual benefits of becoming stronger, improving our immune system, supporting our hormones and re shaping our bodies but when we feel good in our body we are more likely to treat our body with more respect but feeding it well.

We can shift energy in our body through movement. Feeling low, dance like nobody’s watching. Feeling anxious, use the energy to execute a high intensity work out. Feeling stressed, use yoga to calm your nervous system.

Movement supports us to create deep transformation in our lives, physically and mentally.

Mindset

How you think determines your results. Period.

Transformation that lasts, happens when you shift your mindset. Your thoughts and beliefs are one of the most POWERFUL tools you have.

You need to commit to working on your mindset every single day. Nourish your mind just as much as you nourish your body. Read the books, listen to the podcasts, have thought provoking conversations, filter the content you consume.

Take note of how you speak. Do you speak of possibility or do you complain and play the victim? Do you speak with respect or do you bully yourself and gossip about others.

How you think, speak and what you consume and believe will determine the life you lead.

Lifestyle

We are the curators. We get to create a life that supports the type of lifestyle we want to create.

You get to choose how you show up in life every single day. You get to decide what is a priority and what is not. You can determine what serves you and what doesn’t.

It’s 100% up to you.
