How To Stop Giving A Shit About What Others Think

Confession time.

I am a recovering people pleaser.

I like to be liked.

For so long I was concerned about what others would say about me, what people thought about me and whether they liked me.

It was bloody exhausting.

One day a mentor pulled me up and said “that’s none of your business whether they like you or not, that shits on them”

Sister I’m here to tell you that not everyone is going to like you and that is totally fine.

Your one and only job is to do YOU.

Don’t waste your energy!

Here are my 5 tips to stop giving a shit about what others think

  1. Make a conscious decision to no longer care what others think or say – that is not your responsibility.
  2. Focus on you. Stay in your lane girl.
  3. Unfollow people on social media who trigger you, you know those ones you find yourself comparing yourself with!
  4. Keep your dreams and goals to yourself and your inner circle. No need to share with anyone who who may sprinkle their negativity and plant seeds of doubt in your mind
  5. Create a strong mindset, read the book, take the course, get a coach. When you believe it in you it doesn’t matter what others think.
